Makerspace Instructor – Summer Position
Eagle Hill School in Hardwick, MA is seeking a summer instructor for the makerspace. The Makerspace Instructor role is primarily a teaching position within our five-week academic summer camp, designed for middle school-aged students with diagnosed ADHD and/or specific learning (dis)abilities. This position focuses on fostering design thinking and problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with students and collaborating with faculty to develop summer curriculum, programming, and technical expertise. The camp’s makerspaces are equipped with a wide range of tools and technologies, including:
- 3D modeling and printing
- Laser cutting and etching
- CNC and traditional woodworking
- Welding and metalwork
- Robotics and electronics
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a variety of courses during the summer session. Class sizes typically average 5 students.
- Maintain and schedule the use of makerspaces.
- Support programming and ensure the effective operation of the makerspaces.
Session Details:
- Dates: June 30, 2025 – August 1, 2025

Hours:
- Monday through Friday
- Four days from 7:45 AM to 3:00PM
- The fifth day includes a duty night (night of your choosing) to stay until 9 PM
- Four weekend shifts date of your choosing to be compensated separately at $130/ shift.
